Why Share Jesus?

Evangelism can be a scary word and it feels good to admit it. As a concept and a commission, evangelism is great. However, as an action, the outworking of it over the years has sadly left a bitter taste in the mouths of many. At the sound of the word you immediately think of awkward conversations and Bible-bashing.

When you reframe the concept, it is simply sharing Jesus. Jesus is the most revolutionary person to have ever lived, and if people can see Jesus for who He truly is, their lives will be radically changed. Sharing Jesus is normal and natural. It is an outworking of our relationship with Him.

The depth of our intimacy with Him determines our level of passion for others. The closer we are to Jesus, the more we understand His heart towards people. Similarly, the more consistent our relationship is with Him, the healthier and more consistent our passion is for people.

Throughout the Bible, Jesus personally commissions each of us to go into all places and share the Gospel, to be fishers of men and to be witnesses of who He is and what He has done. With that in mind, God has positioned you where you are on purpose and for a purpose. He has called you for such a time as this. He has called you to live on mission.

It is easy to look upon the great men & women on the pages of history and say, “If I were alive then, I too would have endured for change”, but our question isn’t “what would you have done then?” rather “what will you do now?”

So, will you help bring salvation to your nation? Will you share Jesus?
