Revival is Now

Revival has to be one of the most exciting words in the Christian vocab. It literally means to revive and to make alive again. The message of the Gospel is a message of heart revival. Revival is the coming back to things of God, an awakening to the knowledge of His presence amongst us.

Revivals of past conjure images of large crowds, tent meetings, miracles, healings and salvation. You think of people like the Wesley brothers, Billy Graham (what a guy!), Dwight Moody or William and Catherine Booth (they started the Salvation Army). People who preached simple yet powerful messages and carried a great sense of the Holy Spirit and an expectation that He would move.

The impact of these revivals throughout history affected all parts of society — casinos and bottle shops lost business, brothels closed down; judges had no cases to try and, get this, donkeys in the mines had to be retrained because the miners no longer swore when giving orders.

It is inspiring to think of the collective change that revived hearts can bring to the world!

There is not much more powerful and more beautiful than a revived heart.

Revival brings a more attuned walk with the Holy Spirit in our everyday lives and carries a sound of freedom that shakes apathetic hearts and challenges old mindsets. It aligns us with God’s heart and brings clarity to how we see the world. God is doing a new thing. Can you see it? Can you feel the hovering expectation? Revival is in the air and it is time for society to experience Jesus through an awakened global army of Christians living on mission!

“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” — Isaiah 43:19
