Change. You either love it or you hate it. When your favourite brunch spot suddenly changes the menu, your parents move house, or a new Adidas store replaces an old clothing store, you either love it or you hate it. Revival brings radical change, but it’s a change you love!
Revival is God doing among many Christians at the same time what He is doing all the time in individual Christian’s lives as they come to know Jesus.
John Piper describes revival as: “…An increase in earnest desires for more of Christ and His word, boldness in witness, purity of life, lots of conversions, joyful worship, renewed commitment to missions. You feel God has moved here.”
Here are 5 Ways Revival Will Change You…
1. Revival stirs Godly desires in you
You will find yourself preoccupied with things of God. Where you used to obsess over the hot guy in your uni class, you will begin to obsess about the salvation of your entire uni/college class. Where you used to spend evenings scrolling Instagram, you will find yourself scrolling through YouVersion. Suddenly the basics of your faith with become important again. Prayer will become a passion, worship will become a necessity and reading your Bible will become a non-negotiable.

2. Revival gives you unusual boldness
Not just a physical boldness, but a spiritual boldness. A boldness to speak Spirit-empowered conviction, courage and urgency. Revival energises you and gives you faith to believe for greater things. Suddenly scary giants become silly gnomes and challenging mountains become dirt piles. Revival gives you unusual boldness to believe for broken bones to instantly heal, spiritual strongholds to break and the miraculous to take place.

3. Revival points you to the person and power of the Holy Spirit
You were not meant to do life alone. Friends are key for the journey of life, but more important than great friends, is the Holy Spirit. Jesus told His disciples that before they would be able to reach the world, they must first receive the power of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit, we have no authority when living on mission. Revival will remind you of the authority you have in Christ and the huge need you have to rely on Him to direct your life.

4. Revival takes your faith to the streets
A Sunday faith will not be enough, you will desire a Monday to Saturday faith also. A faith which effects your everyday and flows out of church buildings into homes and onto streets. A faith which has you caring deeply for the people in your neighbourhood, and has you wanting to be involved in the lives of those in your workplace.

5. Revival gives you a powerful sound of freedom
Revival awakens you; your heart comes alive. You are reminded of the freedom Jesus gave you through salvation and you carry a powerful sound of freedom. It’s not normal and it’s not weird, but it is attractive. People will be drawn to the way you live and intrigued by they way you speak. It will be like everything you do shouts freedom. Suddenly those who didn’t realise they were captive will find out there is a new way to live because you are exampling a revived life. You are living on mission!
